Planned closures
We're always working to improve our UNESCO world heritage site, so occasionally we have to close some features. Please check before your visit to avoid disappointment.

Our Gardens are open for you to explore.
Planned closures
- The Gardens will not open early for members on 24 May 2024 due to essential garden maintenance.
- The Hive will close early at 4pm on 5 June 2024.
- The Children’s Garden will be closed to visitors for a quiet session on Saturday 29 June between 3.30pm and 6.15pm.
- The Temperate House will close early at 4pm on 18 June 2024. Additionally, they will be partially closed between 7 to 18 October and 18 to 22 November 2024 to install a new exhibition.
- The Princess of Wales Conservatory will close early at 4pm on 5th June 2024
- The Marianne North Gallery will close early at 1pm (last entry 12.30pm) on 22 May and 12 June 2024, and close at 3.30pm (last entry 3pm) 18 June 2024
- The Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art will have the following changes to its opening hours:
- Closed at 4pm (last entry 3.30pm) on 22 May 2024
- Closed at 3.30pm (last entry 3pm) 18 June 2024
- Open late at 12 noon on the first Monday of every month due to planned maintenance.
- The Badger Sett in the Natural Area is closed.
- Parking is prohibited on Kew Road and limited around the area. Consider walking or cycling to us if you are able to.
- There are no lockers or baggage storage facilities available.
